Not sure if we'll need more storage (which could be provided by overhead cupboards...time will tell) so I think I'm leaning towards the art or display shelf idea; which further disguises the practical laundry function. I tend to prefer the simple wood shelf or the art for your wall, but probably some of the other ideas are more practical. I guess it depends on your storage needs.
