1. To lay waste; destroy.
2. To overwhelm; confound; stun

 It's NOT happening people. *sob*
After three years of carefully deciding on 'THE' wallpaper and bragging about it HERE,
convincing hubby it was going to work, and being able to put my moolah where my heart was...
It's not going to happen!!!

To cut a L O N G, painful story short, this wallpaper can only be ordered in double rolls, each length only 4.1 metres. To get the drops required, I need a minimum of six rolls or 49.32 m.
My hall only needs 18.8 metres of wallpaper, so I'll have 30.52 m of excess in unusable short lengths.

This wallpaper has a RR of $495 per roll.

Lets entertain some synonyms: devastated adjective shattered, shocked, stunned, overcome, crushed, overwhelmed, distressed, gutted (slang), dazed, knocked sideways (informal), knocked for six (informal)  W. T. F. (KL)

P.S: All billionaire hobbits who would like to wallpaper their abode with my left-overs please contact me immediately!!!.

Stuff.

I've been M.I.A.
Busy with life. Here's a brief synopsis.

I'm no Royalist, but have really enjoyed the excitement surrounding the new Princes' birth.
With two 'spare' bedrooms, am becoming obsessed with setting up a guest suite. Harvey Norman full bed V's Recollection's Bedhead. Taupe V's Charcoal. Mattress only V's ensemble. Still doing the sums! Opinions?
Scala Spa spout; RR $200! $20 'excess stock' score! Whoop whoop!
LOVE this Sass & Bide Tee. Exy. Doesn't fit. I've noticed as I've grown bigger that the L and XL sell out first. Dear Heidi, Sarah-Jane & Co.:Make more. Make in larger sizes. Make more moolah. Duh!
Having a Butterfly moment. Want a huge collection!

Doing lots of research into toilets. Exciting stuff.
Above are the Ideal Standard Concept suite and pan I'm considering for Mum & Dad's Laundry / Bathroom renovation.

TIP: If you've a bad back, mobility issues or aging, consider an easy height W.C. for your Reno. There are access and mobility standards to consider in specific situations, but surprisingly there's allot on offer that ticks boxes for the domestic market with a look that's quite palatable!

Pottery Barn: My Online Shopping Experience

Waaaay back HERE, during the first week in May, I tested the newly opened Australian Pottery Barn Online Shopping experience by purchasing a piece of faux coral. After very little communication, I received said order today; July 15.

For faux, it's just OK. I am considering returning it. The colour is much more cream than pictured, the piece less opaque and 'heavier' visually than anticipated. It was really well packaged for transit but included no receipt or paperwork whatsoever. Strange. And 10 weeks delivery time frame for an advertised 'in stock' item? Not on.

I love online shopping and have had in general, excellent success, but I'll be striking Pottery Barn off my shopping destination list. Have you had any experiences with them that you'd like to share? Perhaps mine was a one off?

27th September ADDENDUM:
Received a phone call today from PB asking for updated credit card details so they could charge and post this order to me. W.T.F? Major System Failure!

Bits 'n Bobs

We are in the middle of the first week of school holidays here. Holidays = Sleep-ins = Bliss.
J's been busy with 'sleepovers' which seem to be the 11-year-old thing-to-do. I miss him.

David and I took J and a mate to Singleton to visit the Australian Army Infantry Museum (David taking a day off work to do so) on the recommendation of a fave blogger. Might've been a good idea to check their opening times....closed on Tuesdays nearly caused bloody WW3!

Anywho...the four hour drive included a lovely lunch at the Potters Hotel Brewery. Open fire, great food, a game of pool, choc tops...no more needs to be said, really.

The steel base for my 'wish-list', family room coffee table is complete! (planned way back HERE). Now I need to get it powder coated and the timber top made. (Might not be pressing Davey for this ATM....LOL!)

The Main Bathroom mirrors are in; there's NO hiding! (1) but I'm yet to clean and style...
Still sorting through Ray's belongings and preparing a worthy Memorial Service (2 & 3)
(4) Hello George! Considering these tiles for a feature wall in Mum's bathroom. ?
Skeletal baby bird. (5) Thanks David, but I like my taxidermy free of 50 years of cobwebs!
My heart melted when my son gave me these after a play day at a mates. 11 years old and 'man' enough to give these to me in front of them. Mwaaah! (6)
(7) How can THIS baby be one?
Over joyed when Davey offered to cook....(8) but W.T.F has he done to my oven?!
(9) A local riding a 'static wave' as Avoca Lake burst through it's bank into the sea. Amazing!
Boys. Mud. Mates. (10) Evidence!
